What is Bitcoin

A completely transparent system, that uses a Peer to Peer connectivity to send and receive the digital assets in. Completely destroying the dependence of 3rd party payment processors to avoid double spending by recording transactions in SHA-256 and utilising those hashes within a block based mechanism, topped with digital signatures to prove the validity of transfership and transaction. All of these transactions and blocks are also recorded to decentralized ledger with timestamps.

Features & Technology

The network requires all nodes to be updated all time to counter Byzantine Fault Tolerance whether it be a simple transaction or a block propagation, this way ensures that the network does not have any SPOF and there is total sync between all of the nodes.
A payment or transaction can be verified without the use of running a full node or an ASIC miner hy just containing all the blockheaders in that version of the blockchain, and requesting POW by querying other nodes on the network.
The proof of work consensus is found in bitcoin where the ‘miners’ solve the transactional hashes to validate the transactions and make a block, which also serves the purpose of finding nonces within the blocks.
Storing every transactional data on a storage unit can be tedious and prolonging, with the help of stubbing out transactional hashes and removing characteristics, until needed from the node is implemented to store the data between nodes.
To maintain financial freedom and sovereignty every address and transaction are hashed in the SHA-256 encryption. To send and receive the transactions, everything is first monitored by the asymmetric encryption, of the public and private keys, the private keys are required for the transaction to execute.
